Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Rock and Awl, LLC, operating under the Vivorium Ventures project (“Vivorium,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, and protects information gathered through the vivorium.com marketing website (the “Site”). This policy covers the Site only. If you use VivoCue or any other Vivorium product, that product’s End User License Agreement and Data Use Disclosure governs data collected within that product.
1. Who This Policy Covers
This policy applies to any person who visits vivorium.com, submits the contact or sign-up form, or subscribes to communications from Vivorium through the Site.
2. What We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
When you complete the form on the Site, we collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your organization name
- Your organization type (K–12, Community Theater, University, or Professional Theater)
- Any optional message you choose to include
We collect this information solely to respond to your inquiry, to contact you about VivoCue, and to notify you of the founding member offer if you have expressed interest.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain technical information, including:
- Browser type and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages visited and time spent on each page
- Referring URL (the page that linked you to the Site)
- General geographic region (country and state level, derived from IP address)
IP addresses are processed to derive geographic region only and are not stored in identifiable form. We use a salted one-way hash to detect duplicate submissions and prevent abuse, but the raw IP address is never retained.
2.3 Cookies and Tracking
The Site uses cookies and similar tracking technologies. We use:
- Strictly necessary cookies required for the Site to function (session management, security)
- Analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the Site (PostHog). These fire only after you accept cookies via the consent banner.
- Marketing pixels (including Google Tag Manager and Meta Pixel) to measure the effectiveness of our outreach. These fire only after you accept cookies via the consent banner.
You may decline non-essential cookies by clicking “Decline” in the cookie consent banner when you first visit the Site. You may also clear cookies at any time through your browser settings. Declining analytics and marketing cookies does not affect your ability to use the Site.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiry or contact form submission
- Send you information about VivoCue, including the founding member offer, if you have requested it
- Send transactional emails related to account creation if you sign up for VivoCue
- Improve the Site and understand how visitors engage with it
- Measure the reach of our marketing and outreach efforts
We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling. We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
4. How We Share Your Information
We share your information only as follows:
- HubSpot CRM: form submissions are stored in our HubSpot account for contact management purposes. HubSpot processes data on our behalf under a data processing agreement.
- Email delivery providers: we use Resend to deliver emails. Resend processes your email address on our behalf under a data processing agreement.
- Analytics providers: PostHog processes anonymized usage data on our behalf. No personal data is shared with PostHog.
- Legal compliance: we may disclose information if required by applicable law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Vivorium or others.
We do not share your personal information with theater publishers, data brokers, or any other commercial third parties.
5. Your Rights
5.1 All Users
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send or by contacting us at admin@vivorium.com

5.2 EU, UK, and EEA Visitors (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Union, United Kingdom, or European Economic Area, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation, including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Our lawful basis for processing your data is your consent (for cookies and marketing) and our legitimate interest in responding to your inquiry (for form submissions). You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.
5.3 California Residents (CCPA)

6. Data Retention
We retain contact form submissions and associated personal information for as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry and to maintain our records for legal and compliance purposes, and for no longer than three years from the date of submission unless you have become a VivoCue subscriber, in which case the VivoCue End User License Agreement governs retention.
You may request deletion of your information at any time by contacting admin@vivorium.com .
7. Security
We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we collect. These include encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), access controls, and the use of reputable third-party service providers who maintain their own security standards. No system is completely secure. If you have reason to believe your information has been compromised, contact us immediately at admin@vivorium.com .
8. Children
The vivorium.com marketing website is not directed at children under 13 years of age and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Site. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted information through the Site, please contact us at admin@vivorium.com and we will delete it promptly. VivoCue, the platform application, has COPPA-compliant data collection procedures for minor users governed by the VivoCue End User License Agreement.
9. Third-Party Links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites, including VivoCue (vivocue.vivorium.com), social media platforms, and other resources. This Privacy Policy applies only to the vivorium.com Site. Third-party sites have their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for their practices.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we will update the effective date at the top of this document and, where feasible, notify visitors through a notice on the Site. Continued use of the Site after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
